The Communist Party of the Soviet Union
In 1990, the .su country code was officially designated for websites associated with the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, a vast empire stretching from the Baltic to the Arctic to the Pacific, ruled by the Communist Party. In 1991, the USSR dissolved and each of its component states got its own top-level domain, but there were so many sites registered with the .su name that the code survived, and has to this day. Here is the official website of the Soviet Communist Party, as it might have been.
